Preamble

This is a new feature on SVU Website listing selected links to important issues that are of concern to Czechs and Slovaks worldwide. The expressed viewpoints which may be shared by some, if not many, SVU members are solely those of the authors and do not represent the official position of the Czechoslovak Society of Arts and Sciences. The main reason for posting the issues here is to stimulate a  responsible and thoughtful discussion which would hopefully lead to the resolution of some of the existing problems. We would welcome being notified of any other interesting or opposing statements that ought to be posted in "Czech and Slovak Issues", provided they are not offensive or of personal nature.
