SVU Member and VCSHS co-founder Marie Blaha Pearson will speak about New Bohemia, Virginia, during the Wednesday Noon Brown Bag Lunch Session at the Appomattox Regional Library in Hopewell.
New Bohemia has an interesting history as it was settled by Czech immigrants who raised the level of farming in southern Virginia during the late 1800s.
Bring a bag lunch; drinks and cookies will be provided by the Hopewell Historical Society.
